To be honest, I’m not sure why I love Groundhog Day… it is in the dead of winter and we are almost always expected to get 6 more weeks of winter. BUT I do love it!
So how do we celebrate? I’m so glad you asked.
This year, I wrote a new poem for Groundhog Day!
If you have our Poetry Music and Video files, you may have noticed something different. I have added QR codes to the student poems. In this way, students can take their poetry notebooks home and practice the poem! Here is a sampling of February’s poems. I am kind of excited!
I am a HUGE fan of SciShow Kids on YouTube!
The Substitute Groundhog was one of your listening station activities from Scholastic a few years back. It is included in THIS bundle.
I reactivated the January 2014-2015 in case you are looking for JUST this book. You can see that file HERE.
Groundhog’s Runaway Shadow was part of this year’s Listening Stations. If you click on the cover below, it will take you to the file.
The writing station!!!! We sort of love this center.
Here is a base 10 activity that is in this ink saving unit for February.
These work great for morning work. They are all from the Save My Ink files.
How cute are these… AND I love Milano cookies (more than I should). This adorable snack idea came from Parent’s Magazine via Handmade Charlotte.
There you have it!
If you are disappointed I did not include my usual Peek at my Week post, please let me know in the comments. I can certainly return back to those posts next week.
