Kindergarten iPad videos can be a fun activity for your students. We use them as a center to reinforce fluency and literacy. Each poem and song has a QR code so kids can sing along!
These poems are used as part of our whole group shared reading, but what a great way to grow fluency! You can read more about my 5 day fluency plan with these poems by reading HERE.
Add to the iPad Literacy Station
I was asked how to turn our videos into an iPad station. I suggested using QR codes. Then I thought… Why don’t I just make it happen for you. So I am hard at working adding these codes to the Video units.
How do they work?
These songs play using a QR code. (Confession… I don’t know how QR codes work… they just do). On your device, you will want to download a QR Reader. there are many free QR Readers out there… just go to your app store and you are good to go!
Your device will need to be connected to your wifi.
When the student is ready to sing along, they click on the QR reader and scan the code that is printed on the song page.
AND wah-LA! Let the fun begin!
The lyrics and tune will play and your little sweeties can sing along!
