Here is what has been happening with me. Downton Abbey! Seriously! I have the 2nd season through Amazon Prime. I have been watching it while working on my couch to 10k training (treadmill). It helps the time pass and if I turn it up REALLY loud, it drowns out the sound of me sucking wind!
I’ve made a few updates!
I often hear, “I have a word wall, but my student’s don’t seem to use it.” This is how I make my word wall interactive. My students use the word wall with purpose on a daily basis. This whole group instruction takes about 15 minutes each day (you are moving fast) and it is a way for me to reinforce handwriting!
Whatever you use, be sure to make your word wall interactive. It is easy for word walls to turn into wallpaper.
I added a bunch to this product. You can get the update at no additional charge.
I have also updated these two files so you can add your own words.
Again, these were created a year ago, so you can get your updated version for no additional fee.
During our Christmas break I made new journal covers for our Math Journals and Poetry Notebooks. So here is a little FREEBIE for ya!

Before I close, I have heard from a lot from people who ask advice about starting a blog and a TpT store. Thank you for trusting me with your questions. I think I have answered everyone, but I had thought about making a post about it. Then I read Erica Bohrer’s post and I thought she gave some great tips. You can read that post by clicking on this cute picture!
My 2 cents?… blogging should really be for you! This is a place for you to plan out loud, share discoveries, and reflect on your teaching practice. It is wonderful to collaborate with other teachers and see classrooms outside of your community. I love reading everyone’s comments (and I DO read EVERYone), but when I first started out 2 years ago, my husband was my only follower… Ha!
Anyhow, if you are starting out, don’t be discouraged.
Here are my lesson plans for next week.
