Drum roll please… April’s Writing Work Station made it’s debut! As predicted, my kids clapped when they saw it. Great for my ego!

I am really glad I updated the Silly Sentences response page. It is helping my kiddos remember to start with a capital letter and end with punctuation.

Even Miss Pig got involved with stations this week. I was running short on time so I had some of my kids tape the eggs around the room on Monday. I think Miss Theodora was thrilled to be involved. You can find this product my clicking on my sweet pet.

Here is what we are working on for Reader’s Workshop. We are working on Common Core Standard: Reading Literature Integration of Knowledge and Ideas 9.
We are loving Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel!
We have just finished reading Frog and Toad are Friends, so we are getting the feel for these characters. We made this chart.
Then the students created their own character charts.
|Frog: Frog is a good friend. He is smart. He is kind. He is wise. Toad: Toad cries. He made a sweater for Frog. Toad is nice to Frog. Toad has problems.|

I am currently working on Math and Literacy Stations that go along with the Frog and Toad series. I am aligning this unit with Unit 6 from the Common Core Curriculum Map~Wonders of Nature: Plants, Bugs, and Frogs. I hope to have it ready by this weekend… Fingers crossed!
