Academic Scavenger Hunt Activities
We’re hearing from teachers that students are loving these academic scavenger hunts! They serve as a great way to bring fun to learning – whether it’s occurring inside the classroom or at-home during distance learning. It is an exciting activity for students to look forward to during their school day.
These monthly scavenger hunts are available for the entire year. Each month includes 2 levels of activities. One set for kindergarten and one set for first grade. However, there is absolutely no reason you couldn’t use the activities as a review or at different times throughout the year.
The activities focus on grade-level appropriate math and language arts skills. Students apply what they are learning as they connect these concepts to real life.
Some of the scavenger hunts allow students to find items around the classroom or at home, whereas others use simple supplies like a pencil and a pair of scissors, to play the “game”.
For example, students look at the picture and determine if it is a noun or a verb. If it is a noun, students hold up a pair of scissors. On the other hand, if it’s a verb, they hold up their pencil.
The activities are in PowerPoint so they are ready to project in the classroom or are easily sent home to students. Another great option for using these scavenger hunts is to project the PowerPoints during virtual teaching. You can easily screen share these fun activities while online with your students.
With the scavenger hunt bundle, you’ll have enough fun, interactive activities for the entire year! You can find it in my blog store:
