Daily Math Journal FREEBIE

Here is a daily math journal FREEBIE for you!

I started REALLY using math journals last year and LOVED it!  Math journals are a great way to reinforce and review math concepts in a creative way.  Once your students get used to the process, they can be done in just a few minutes.  I had this 15-minute slot of time each day ~ during this 15 minutes my students would color their behavior day, pack up their backpack, and complete their math journal ~ we were MOVIN’!!

Daily Math Journals in the Fall

We start our math journals around the second week fo school.  Here are a few samples from the September and October math journal prompts.

  1. Thanks so much for the math journal ideas! I ALWAYS start with math journal at the beginning of the year, but I don't seem to continue it. Do you do journaling daily? Thanks again! ~Tracy

  2. I LOVE this! I am so excited to start using these this year. Will you be making a larger pack of prompts to start the year off? I would love to buy that if you are.

  3. Deedee, Thank you! This download is great and it's even free. Thank you for your generosity! One hint from me: At the beginning of the year, I place a small post-it on the page each child is supposed to write on (or turn to). Since the post=it is sticking out of the book, they can easily (yeah, right!) find the correct page.

  7. Thanks for the freebie. I was thinking of possibly doing the math journal for morning bell work. I was thinking I could explain the prompt the day before (of course there will need to be reminders for those who forget!) I think I will try it and see how it goes. Thanks again for your generosity.
