Math and literacy games for kindergarten and first grade. Monthly themed games that are perfect for centers and stations. They also work great as a small group activity.
Math and Literacy Games
Incorporating games into your classroom is such a fun way for students to practice math and literacy skills and have fun doing it! Do you know about my BUMP games?? I absolutely love these games because they all follow the same format! Once you teach the game you can simply switch out the skills and have an independent student game ALL. YEAR. LONG. Plus, it is so easy to differentiate within your classroom.
A few weeks ago I received an amazing idea from a friend who started putting my BUMP games into the little photo containers that I use for my task cards. So I, of course, had to give it a try! It is so cool!
Note: You can find the photo containers at Michaels. Don’t forget your coupons!
These are so incredibly easy to stow away and easily pull out when you are ready for them. All of the resources needed are all within the box!
I ordered 1 cm. cubes and spinners from Amazon. The spinners are a little long, so maybe check out some transparent spinners like these.
These kinder friends had so much fun playing the games.
Another great reason why I love these math and literacy games is that they are truly just a game… there are no response sheets. Now, I do like students to respond during certain center activities, but sometimes it’s fun to just play a game.
I have the all of the kindergarten BUMP games completed and bundled together. Check it out here:
And, I am currently working on the first-grade bundle. These first-graders approve!

Hi Joni,
I printed these 4 to a page. The specific directions are included in the file.
