We had a great week last week learning about oviparous animals.
Chickens Aren’t the Only Ones (book) can be found HERE.

Then ALL… MONTH my little friends have been circling my book shelf.
Asking,  “When are we going to read THAT book!” (while pointing to The Easter Bunny’s Assistant).
The time has come my friends, the time has come…

This week we will read and enjoy The Easter Bunny’s Assistant!  Dare I say it?  We are SO EXCITED!

But it is not all fun and games.  We will be responding to the text, specifically: writing about our opinions, discussing cause and effect, writing a how-to text, and doing character analysis.
 This is big time stuff!
You can find all of these detailed activities HERE.
What else am I excited about?
I sort of love these sweet bunnies!  We will try to make a card this week with them.

  1. I LOVE The Easter Bunny's Assistant! The illustrations are the best! I read it on Friday since we are on Spring Break this coming week. Both of my ELA classes loved it! I wanted to do more with it but I only had the classes for 30 minutes that day, just long enough to read the book and then write about why they would be a good assistant. We also did some of the Peeps experiments, and one of my girls asked me where I get these ideas!

  2. I love these ideas! Such great learning activities. Easter is always a fun holiday to center learning activities around. There are so many things you could do with bunnies, chicks, and Easter Eggs.

  3. I found a template for a writing activity “Little Egg, Little Egg, what do you see?” predictable class book and the activity had a link to your webpage for that template as a freebie but I cannot find it. Would you happen to know what I’m looking for or where to access it? It went along with studying oviporous animals. Thank you.
