Peek at my Week (week 5)

Fall is in the air.  This weekend is downright chilly! This week we’re working with these kindergarten farm lesson plans!

Last week we really zeroed in on rhyming.  I used the cute Show and Tell Apron to play a little “odd man out” with rhyming cards {unit coming soon.}  I love the apron that I got while I was in Vegas.  Rumor has it that these aprons sold out at the conference in less than 24 hours.  She has added them to her TpT store and you can find them here.  I had one of my sweeties snap this photo of me.

  1. It looks like things are going so smoothly in your room! We've only completed 9 days so far, but it feels like we're never going to get where you are! I have faith, but it's exhausting! 🙂 Keep up the awesome work! (Can't wait for more details about your apron pack!)

  2. Oh, you have one of the aprons! It's on my wish list. Your students look like they are learning a lot! You have a lot of room and white board space to do so many activities. I have 18 kiddos squeezed into my tiny room with very little rug space. We all trip over chairs and run into tables. I also wish I had the time to do all the activities, but being departmentalized limits my time with my class. Here's hoping this week we get into more of a routine. Have a good week!

  3. Love your centers! Last week you had a write the room Aug. Sept. Who is it made by? Also…do you have a list of high frequency words you introduce weekly?
    Thank!

  4. I have been using my apron!! It is great in second grade for word families, spelling, focusing on beginning and ending sounds, My kids LOVE it!!!

  5. Another question about your wonderful stations. If they don't complete the activity (such as Write Around the Room) do you have them put it in a special place to finish later? One year I did folders in each center for work that needed to be finished, one year I just had a central "I'm not finished box" where they put anything they had not finished. What have you found that works best?
