Seesaw… Yes, Please!
Seesaw this… Seesaw that… Are you riding the Seesaw train? This platform has truly helped teachers from near to far make distance learning a little more manageable. Assigning activities to students working from home is simple, and often with just a couple of clicks. Better yet, this kid-friendly platform makes responding to activities uncomplicated, allowing for greater independence in students.
I’ve explored Seesaw and uploaded A TON of resources to the platform and find it pretty amazing for teachers and students. If you are unsure of how to use Seesaw, check out this quick video on easy steps to take to get started with these Seesaw activities.
Seesaw Activities
We are excited to show you the Seesaw activities for kindergarten and first grade. There is a set of very basic skills that could be used in pre-k, as well. Those tasks include a focus on sorting letters and beginning sounds, as well as identifying numbers, patterns, shapes, and practicing counting.
Students practice various math and ELA skills throughout the entire year. Here is an example from the kindergarten set. Students rainbow write the focus letter, sort letters, and sort beginning sounds.
Every set of weekly activities includes a new math and literacy task for each day.
Plus, all of the tasks are preloaded into Seesaw. With just one click, you can add the activity to your library and then easily assign it from there.
We’ve also provided PowerPoint with moveable parts so you can easily upload them to your Google Classroom account.
The kindergarten and first-grade activities can be purchased in sets for each quarter or you can purchase the bundle. Click here for the bundle:
