• Color by Short Vowel: Kindergarteners will color the thanksgiving picture according to the code. This worksheet focuses on these word families: UT UG, ET, ED, IT and IP. Your students will have so much fun practicing their short vowel sounds.

Students will then write each word in their best handwriting. This worksheet will help your students build a solid foundation with sound manipulation and building new words.
• Beginning and Ending Sounds: Your students will have so much fun sorting the words on the turkey picture by their initial sounds and ending sounds. This worksheet would be great for independent practice. 
• Building CVCe Words: Students look at each picture and write each sound they hear to build the CVCe words. Students will choose one word and use it in a sentence. This is a great way for students to practice their sentence writing and building fine motor skills.
• CVC Word Practice: Students find the CVC words in the word search and then write each CVC word next to the CVC pictures.
