Introducing Spring March Write the Room Math & Literacy with CVC Kindergarten Centers for St. Patrick’s Day! It is a fun and engaging way to incorporate spring write the room activities into your classroom! These St. Patrick’s Day write the room centers help kindergarten students practice math and literacy skills through hands-on March write the room tasks. With a seasonal focus, students explore CVC words, syllables, addition, subtraction, and more in an interactive format.

Literacy Write the Room Center Activities for Kindergarten
- Lucky Sight Words – This is an editable sight word activity. Add your own sight words! There are 2 response sheets for easy differentiation! Students will write the sight words or trace the sight words that are found around the classroom.
- Charming Syllables – Students will say the word on the card and count the syllables. Students will color a hat for each syllable.
- Golden Rhymes – Students will say the words on the cards and color the smiling heart if the words rhyme.
- Leprechaun Beginning Sounds – Students will look at the picture and write the beginning sound. This is great for isolating initial sounds.
- Spring Endings – Students will read the word and listen for the ending sound. On the response sheet, students will write the word and draw a picture.
- Spring Blends – Students will read the picture and listen for the blend sound. Students will write the word with the missing vowel and draw a picture.
- March Vowels – Students will say the word and listen for the vowel sound. Students will color in the vowel sound on the response sheet and write the word.
- March Digraphs- Students will say the word and listen for the beginning digraph. Students will color in the digraph on the response sheet and write the word.
- Spring Sentences – Students will read the sentence and write it on the response sheet. There are TWO sets of sentences in this center.
Math March Write the Room Center Activities for Kindergarten
- Blooming Addition – Students will count to see how many more of each object they need to make a ten then write the equation.
- Lucky Base 10s – Students count the base 10 blocks and write the number on the response sheet.
- Irish Counting – Students say the numbers in order and then write them in order.
- Lucky Addition – Students will count the objects and write an addition equation to match.
- Spring Subtraction – Students count the pictures of objects and subtract the ones with an X on them. Students will write and solve an equation to match each picture.
- Carrot Counting – Students say the numbers in order and then write them in order.
