I may have a problem! I have so many books and I STILL feel like I need more. When I thought about writing this blog post, I honestly did not know that I had this many Halloween books in my possession. (Psst… this is not all of them!) #hoarder

- This is the House that Monsters Built This is a book fashioned after the classic, This is the House that Jack Built. You students will love helping you read this book.
- Where’s My Mummy? This is a precious book!

- The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything This is a great classic book!
- The Monster Who Lost His Mean This is a story of a monster who lost the “M” in “monster”, so he became an “Onster.” He ends up making some great new friends!
- The Dark, Dark Night The frog gets frightened by his shadow. His friends are pretty precious. There are some great opportunities to talk about character expressions in this book too!
- The Ghosts Go Haunting If you like to sing your books, this is a good one!
- Room on the Broom How long have we all loved this book? FOR-EVER!
- Cinderella Skeleton We loved this book so much that we used it in our 2nd Grade Engaging Readers.
- Little Goblins Ten This is also a great book for a Halloween sing-along.
- Los Gatos Black on Halloween How about some Halloween Spanish! Yes! Please!
- Halloween Good Night More Halloween singing!
- Monsters Love Underpants Any book that has “underpants” in it… enough said! Ha!
- Ghost in the House This is a little counting book.
- How to Make Friends with a Ghost This is a great book. Warning… They remain friends for life and why she dies, she goes off with the ghost. A little, Ghost and Mrs. Muir-ish. BTW: If you have not seen this old classic movie, you MUST!
- Crankenstein Also known as, me in the mornings.
- Even Monsters Need Haircuts This boy spends one night per month giving haircuts to monsters. Super cute!
- Big Scary Monster This monster loves scaring the creatures until the tables are turned!
- Click, Clack, Boo! Those animals at the farm are at it again!

Halloween Book Free File Resource
One of the things we love is the monthly Scholastic Book Club catalogs. I have bought the See-Saw catalog for the last few years and specifically the CD sets. I have been making response pages to go with these books. This is a great way to add a little accountability to this center… and my students love it.! I thought I would share one of these with you!
