Finding ways to have student centered lessons can be challenging. This is the time of the year where you might be scrambling to help those little friends who need a little extra help learning their letters. Some of your class knows them all and some of your class have a wee bit of a hill to climb. Here are a few kindergarten letter lessons to help them all get to the same place!
It can be a challenge to stay on top of it and to be precise in your instruction. In one group, you might have Timmy, Charles, Lilly, and Sophia who all need desperately to learn their letters BUT THEY ALL NEED DIFFERENT LETTERS…. AHH!
Start with Assessments
I always started with ESGI. This program helped me to FOCUS my instruction. It takes seconds to assess the students and then I can quickly see EXACTLY which letters are still needed.

Customize the lesson to fit the students’ needs
Then when you have this information, you can quickly create a fun activity that will meet THEIR needs (because it is precise… AND super fun) and YOUR needs because it is so easy to prepare.
NOW… Brace yourself… This is a little video I made to show you how quick it is.
