Interactive science notebooks for kindergarten and 1st grade. No-prep activities for science vocabulary and ELA skills that are Seesaw and Google ready.
Interactive Science NOTEBooks
Here recently, I sent out a survey to those whom receive my newsletters and got some amazing feedback on what teachers need. A pretty large percentage of teachers expressed they needed science resources. Many school districts don’t necessarily purchase a science curriculum and leave it to the teacher to teach those standards in their own way. So, we went straight to work and created interactive science notebooks for you!
For each science topic, students learn vocabulary and complete activities to reinforce ELA skills. Such activities include sight word review, making a sentence, letter & phonics sounds, labeling, matching; and my favorite, creative responses!
The various activities keep students engaged and learning throughout the entire lesson! Plus, the slides lend themselves well to great discussions you can have with your students.
How to use the INTERACTIVE SCIENCE NOTEbooks with your students
These interactive science notebooks can be used in the classroom or virtually if your school is on a distance learning or hybrid schedule.
The books are preloaded into Seesaw and Google. In each download, you will find 1-click links to add the books to student devices. You can then complete the activities with students during your science block, assign them during centers, or even give them to students as an enrichment activity.
You will also find preloaded audio links for each book. This is great for distance learning! Students can hear the instructions and work independently.
Let's Dive Deeper!
I would like to give you a closer look at what you will find in the interactive science notebooks. For each topic, students will watch an informational video.
Then students begin to respond and complete the activities throughout the book. Here are few examples from the interactive book, The Deep Ocean.
Teachers are loving that these interactive science notebooks contain moveable pieces! AND, they are prep-free! This blog post only highlights a few of the topics – there are so many more! Head over to my blog store to get a list of all the science books that are included.
