This week I wanted to focus on problem solving. I have already noticed quite a few of my sweeties who have taken the initiative to work independently or to aide others without needing to be asked. 4 of my students wore these as badges this week. I also high-lighted students who were demonstrating good problem solving. I will select 4 more students on Monday… I told my class that they might be the same 4 or they could be someone different.
This week I updated the October Poetry Station unit. I added a variation to the response pages (so students could cut and glue vs draw and write). I also plan on going back and adding pages for the November and December unit. I will not be changing January because by that point, they should be able to draw and write with more clarity. You can get the upgrade at no additional charge by going to “My Purchases”
Here is what is included in the October Poetry Stations.
Here is my poem for next week. (I wish my camera was working… iPhone is not the best quality)
Here are my lesson plans for next week. Once you download this document from Google Drive, the PDF version will have hyperlinks that will take you to the products. However… I think I forgot to link the FREEBIE…You can get that here.
I am finished a farm unit… thus the “Coming soon” signs!

I love following your blog for great ideas!! I have a question…in your lesson plans on your math stations, do they rotate to every station that day? and how often do you change those out?
No, we go to 2 math stations and 2 literacy stations a day.
Ok, I see…and are your ststions 20 min each?
Love how you add to units and packs enhancing them then make it available to past buyers. Appreciate looking through your plans too – thanks.

Thanks!! I use my stuff, so I keep thinking of ways to make them better for my own classroom. Why not share that? right? Have a great Sunday!
Thanks for the poetry update, Deedee. I prefer the cut and paste pictures to the drawing on the response sheet. Also, thanks for sharing your plans.
I just linked up!! I enjoy reading through your plans. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your great plans and freebies!

This is the first time that I was not able to open your lesson plans. Is something different? I love all of your products!
That is odd. I checked the links and they seem to be set up the way I always do. If you want to email me, I can send you the link.

I love looking at your lesson plans every week! They are a huge help for my stations. I do have a question about station work. How do you motivate or have your students do their best work during station time? I have modeled and talked to my students about doing their best work. However, they like to race through and be done in no time-meaning the coloring or writing. I know they can do much better! Any tips on what you do?? Thanks!
DeeDee, I love your poetry station products. How do you store them in your classroom?
Hi Deanna,
I love your blog and your TPT store! And maybe you have already had a post on this and I missed it – but I am curious what you plans look like once they are printed out. How do you store them, where do you keep them, etc! I guess I am having trouble giving up my old fashioned spiral bound teacher planner…..
