We always enjoy learning about pumpkins. You will also find an free pumpkin emergent reader at the end of this post! Happy October!
Pumpkin Glyph
My class loved working on this pumpkin glyph! This is a great activity to reinforce listening skills. Students completed the pumpkin math glyph and graph.
Predictable Sentence Centers
Here are a few resources I have created specifically for the fall.
My students love learning about sentences in this center. Lots of fun fall themed vocabulary cards to support them in writing some of their first sentences.
Writing Center for October
The writing center is one of our favorite activities. Writing, labeling, letter writing are all included in this fun station.
These Black Ink Only activities are so ink friendly! Just add some colored paper and you have a set of economical activities that your class will love. This is a fine motor stations. Students will spin and trace lines.
Students will sort and count the objects on the cards and write the total amount on the response page.
Students will compare numerals to find the one that is more. The “I Can” cards sure help the students become more independent.

Love the pumpkin book-especially the last page! We are going on a field trip to the pumpkin patch tomorrow morning (weather permitting!)so this book would be the perfect activity for when we get back! I wish there was a new episode of Glee tonight-I had a long day and need it! ~Meredith Keen on Kindergarten
I would like to download and print off a copy of your pumpkin seeds counting book. I just subscribed and I do not see a link to click on to download. If you could reply back to me with a suggestion, would appreciate it.
Can you check your spam folder. It should have been sent to you automatically. If you are using a school email, often times these get blocked by your school’s firewall. If it’s not there, I can email it to you when I get home tomorrow. deedee@mrswillskindergarten.com
