Sentence Writing Made Simple (AND FUN)!

In kindergarten, I am always looking for a way to make sentence writing simple!
BUT… we also need to make sentence writing FUN!
Naturally, we do direct sentence writing instruction through interactive writing. You can read more about how I incorporate interactive writing with our reading units HERE.
We also do direct sentence writing instruction during our small group guided reading.
Deanna Jump and I are in the process of creating Guiding Reading Leveled Texts that will incorporate sentence writing. You can see Level A HERE.

So beyond direct sentence writing instruction, we need fun simple activities that are fun and predictable. This predictable sentence station is a year long learning center.
Students build simple sentences.

Students match the picture with the sentence. They write it!
Every morning, our morning work includes sentence work. Because I have so many different themes to choose from, we always have something related to what we are studying!
