Earth Day Videos

Explore these 10 kid-friendly Earth Day videos! Through videos, read-alouds, and songs students will learn all about Earth Day.

#1 Betsy’s Kindergarten Adventures: Happy Earth Day

This could be a good introduction video to get students thinking about Earth Day. I don’t usually show many cartoon videos like this but this video has some good information!

#2 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Video from Happy Learning about the three “R”s.

#3 Recycling for Kids | Kids Academy

Kids Academy has some great videos on YouTube! There are a ton of fun math, science, social studies, and even literacy topics. Check them out!

#4 How Recycling Works | SciShow Kids

#5 Going Green Song | Harry Kindergarten

Upbeat song by Harry Kindergarten about reducing, reusing, and recycling! Put this on for a quick movement break for your kids. I can totally picture some kids dancing along to this song.

#6 It’s Earth Day by Mercer Mayer | Read Aloud

Classic read aloud about Earth Day. We love Little Critter books!

#7 Recycle/Earth Day Song | Jack Hartmann

Another great song to learn more about Earth Day! Jack Hartmann sings about recycling.

#8 How Plastic Hurts the World | SciShow Kids

#9 Earth Day Song: The Environment and Our Planet

This song isn’t as great for a movement break but it shows different ways to help our planet. You could watch the video and have a great discussion about things we could do. Students could also pick an example and draw about it!

#10 Miss Fox’s Class Goes Green by Eileen Spinelli | Read Aloud
