During our kindergarten picnic, we had a photo booth and we had a complete blast with it!
I had already planned on making this cute treat for my new kindergartners!
BTW… I still don’t know where this image was generated from… it went to the Pinterest black hole. Give me a shout if it is yours! |
In addition to the treat, I wanted to make a photo frame so I can get cute snaps of my new sweeties during open house.
I started with scrapbook paper, then I set to work with my digital cutter!
Added a little glue to the letters!
Add an open backed frame!
Then some Modge Podge on the bathroom floor frame.
and wah-lah!
I had this magnetic board, but I was not in love with the font that came with it. So I used the vinyl I got with my digital cutter, loaded up the Cara Carroll fonts, and added some ribbon. I will use this as a whiteboard in my classroom.
I also got this circle cutter at Michaels. It was a challenge to perfect for cutting out the letters for my word wall. (I think it was operator error). But, I love my Purple and Lime letters! Thank you Erica Bohrer!
So there you have it!

You will want the Silhouette… it lets you use your own fonts!!!
I love these! So cute!! What is the digital cutter? Does it actually cut out the letters for you?????
Yes! It! Does!!!! Love it!
Love the new "take" on the frame! Too cute! Could you please tell me something? I have crafted lots of things, but I can't seem to get into Mod Podge. Are you supposed to see streaks when you finish? I know this is operator error, but I have not had much luck with my finished projects. Also, I had the same question. What is the digital cutter? Thanks so much for the inspiration!@
Ha!!! I am not sure if you are "suppose to" but I sure do!
A digital cutter is like your own personal die cut machine that connects to your computer. I have a Silhouette (which ROCKS) the Cricket is the name of the other one. They are about the same price, but with the Silhouette you can use your own fonts and you are not stuck buying the cartridges.
Super super cute! Your kinders are lucky to have you!

Thank you!!! Isn't it the best job EVER!?
I love your fish goodie bag. Did you post the text boxes for it? I looked around and couldn't find a like for them. Thanks, have a great night.
No the goodie bag is not mine 🙁 Someone else created it, but I am not sure who it was. I am sorry!!
Told my husband about the Silhouette, and I talked it up so much (kinda like a kid in toy store…) he told me.. "Hmmmm, sounds cool, you should look into it." (I ALMOST FEEL ON THE FLOOR….. I guess he is tired of helping to cut out letters).
I am sure it is worth the investment. 🙂

Love the O Fish ally idea. I used a frame this past year with Welcome to Kindergarten for beginning of the year pictures. I am totally going to incorporate this new idea. Thanks for the idea! Love it!
