Phonics

At the end of the year all of my students could write complete sentences and read stories independently. In the past my lowest readers would have maybe 20 sight words mastered. This year my lowest reader had 50 sight words! The bulk of my class had 100+. This is a huge improvement. The students were excited about writing stories and they had so much more confidence in their skills. I know that the group of students that left my class all have the skills to be successful in first grade.
