AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER

Literacy Center Activities for Kindergarten

Math Center Activities for Kindergarten

  • Apple Number Formation Practice – In this center, students will start at the apple and trace the numeral. Students will then count the apples on the center card and write the numeral again. Numbers 1 – 12 are included in this math center activity
  • On Our Way with 10 Frames – Students will count the dots on the school bus 10 frames. Then complete the ten frames on the school bus response page. Numbers 1 – 12 are included.
  • Shapely Apples 2D Shape Math Center – This fun geometry center asks students to match the shape to the response page and color the shape the same color that is written on the center card.
  • Lost Crayons Counting Center – This kindergarten math center asks students to count within 6. Students will be adding the missing number to the crayons. Perfect for back to school or at any time!
  • Inside My Desk Math Counting – Students will count the school supplies on the math center card and record the number on their response worksheet.
  • School Buddies Math Counting Center – Students could the back to school themed items and write the amounts on the response page.

Fall Literacy Center Activities for Kindergarten

  • Less Spiders Please Number Center – Students will say the number that is less, write the numbers on the spiders and color the spider with the lesser number.
  • Fall Follies Addition Center –  Students count the fall themed items and write the amounts to build an equation on the response sheet. Students will then write the sum.
  • Fall Treasures Counting Center –  Kindergarten students will count the fall themed items and write how many of each they count on the response sheet.

 

NOVEMBER

Literacy Center Activities for Kindergarten

  • Baking up Make 10 – Students will count the gingerbread men in the tens frame and decide how many more they need to make ten. Then students will record the equation on the gingerbread man math response sheet.
