Themed digital centers for kindergarten math & literacy. Your students will love these daily tasks with fun themes and holidays!
Themed Digital Centers for Kindergarten Activities
I don’t know about you but I was always looking for center activities to match my unit of study. Whether it be apples, bugs, Halloween, farm life, or Arctic animals… I wanted everything to follow that content area. I have a plethora of printable center activities but definitely lacked in the digital field.
Why should we have to cut out center time as we journey through virtual teaching? These themed digital centers for kindergarten are the perfect solution to math and literacy centers during distance learning.
The pictures in this blog post all show our Apple theme. Since we are working on a growing bundle, other themes will be added as we progress through the year. The additional themes we have planned for our digital activities are school, pumpkins, Halloween, scarecrows, Fall, hibernation, reindeer, snowmen, Arctic animals, snow fun, Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day, St. Patrick’s Day, weather, Spring, community, farm, bugs, ocean, and zoo! Woah.. we are going to be busy!!
Math & Literacy Skills
As the year progresses, the activities included will become more challenging. We started with apples where students practice beginning of kindergarten skills such as sorting capital and lowercase letters, beginning sounds, counting, sorting shapes, etc.
Seesaw
There are a few things we REALLY LOVE about these digital centers for kindergarten. First, we preloaded the activities into Seesaw AND we used just one link. This way, the resource won’t take up a ton of your library space, this is especially great if you are on the free version of Seesaw with limited activities. Another great reason for using just one link is that students can choose the order in which they complete the activities. Plus, we included a student checklist for students to easily track what they have completed.
Google Classroom
The digital centers for kindergarten can also be used in Google Classroom. After downloading the product, you will see a PowerPoint version that you can easily add to Google Slides. There are directions included in the file on how to do this! The background images, fonts, sorting cards are all secure and will upload beautifully to your library (no wonky fonts).
